P.S. 54 in Brooklyn will be renamed this fall to honor slain NYPD Detective Rafael Ramos.

Ramos was killed in the line of duty in 2014.

Ramos and fellow Detective Wenjian Liu were both fatally shot by Ismaaiyl Brinsley while sitting in their patrol car in December of 2014.

The ceremony to rename the school in Ramos' honor will take place on Sept. 13.
