The NYPD released surveillance video Thursday of a person-of-interest in a cold case murder that has vexed police and the victim's family since 2011.

Jamal Singleton was fatally shot on Sept. 19, 2011. Since his death, not many details have been put out to the public.

Monica Cassaberry says just days after her son’s murder, the police showed her more detailed videos of the shooting at the police precinct. Though they did not allow her to see the exact moment her son was shot, she says she saw everything that led up to it.

Cassaberry says she will never stop fighting to hold who did this accountable and to make sure the NYPD conducts a thorough investigation.

News 12 reached out to the NYPD and asked why they have not released the video Cassaberry is referring to. They did not provide an answer.
