Police: Man holds up Chase Bank at gunpoint in Bed-Stuy

Officials say the man was last seen wearing a black sweater, a black hat and a black face mask.

Police were on scene at the Chase Bank on Bedford Avenue in Bed-Stuy investigating an armed robbery.

Police confirmed a robbery took place at 1 p.m. Tuesday. They say an unidentified man entered the bank, pulled out a firearm, demanded cash from the teller and fled the scene on foot.

Officials say the man was last seen wearing a black sweater, a black hat and a black face mask.

It has not been disclosed how much money the suspect took.

One witness told News 12 off camera they saw the robber run off on Dekalb Avenue.
