The mayor launched a new initiative 'Every Block Counts' to improve safety throughout the city.

The 73rd Precinct in Brownsville was one of the targeted areas part of the pilot program launched in October.

The pilot program targeted Bristol Street, Christopher Avenue, Dumont Avenue, Lott Avenue, and Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brooklyn.
