The NYPD and multiple city agencies launched their 65th operation targeting drivers using fake, altered or stolen license plates to avoid tolls.

Officers were stationed at key crossings, including the Hugh Carey Tunnel, Williamsburg Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge.

The operation involved more than 100 officers and focused on spotting unregistered vehicles and fraudulent plates, including temporary paper tags.

The NYPD says these multiagency efforts led to 740 arrests and the seizure of more than 3,400 vehicles last year.

The MTA reports toll evasion costs the agency millions annually, with $250 million owed in 2023 alone.

Officials say these operations will continue as they crack down on drivers attempting to cheat the system.
