A Bed-Stuy laundromat is more than just a place to do laundry.

"People are friendly, we're all laughing" recalls one Stuy Wash n Dry customer.

Victor and Sharon Holliday opened the laundromat in 2019. It has since expanded to six locations across Bed-Stuy and East New York.

The couple runs the family business with their sons, including Christopher Holliday, who News 12 spoke with on Tuesday.

"It almost has a barbershop feel," he describes.

He says customers come in, ask about each other and their families, life milestones and share events happening around the neighborhood.

Being a Black business owner means everything to Victor. He says he prides himself on the opportunity to operate a business that those in his community really care for.

His wife, Sharon, says she hopes that young people in the community are inspired when they go to Stuy Wash n Dry.

The laundromat has hosted community events in the past and even hosted a kindergarten class to teach kids how to do their laundry.
