Subway conductor attacked, police search for second person

A subway conductor was punched in the face and robbed while working on a northbound F train, according to police.

Investigators say the attack happened around 1:15 p.m. on March 31 near the 4th Avenue and 9th Street station. Two individuals allegedly forced open the conductor’s door, hit the 51-year-old woman in the face, and stole her train keys. The conductor refused medical attention.

Police have arrested 18-year-old Farhan Chowdury, who is facing multiple charges, including robbery, assault, and trespassing. However, the second person is still on the run.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact police.
