A 15-year-old boy was shot near a park Saturday night in East New York, according to police.

Authorities say a suspect shot him in the back just after 7 p.m. at the Furman Avenue and Broadway intersection.

The victim was hospitalized and is expected to recover. No arrests have been made as of Sunday morning.
