Democratic National Committee Chairperson Ken Martin commented on mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani declining to stop using the controversial term intifada.

“Anyone who is saying that we should support a global intifada is inciting more terror and hate in a country that doesn’t need any more of that right now,” he said.

Martin said that he also hopes that Mamdani clarifies his statement.

Mamdani’s competitor, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, announced yesterday that he is running as an independent candidate. He mentioned only Mamdani in his campaign video.
