An MS-13 gang member has pleaded guilty to federal charges in two Nassau gang killings, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors say Kevin Cuevas Del Cid posed as a woman on Facebook to lure Kerin Pineda into a wooded area near the Merrick-Freeport border in May 2016.
Once there, prosecutors say Pineda was hacked to death with machetes by Del Cid and other gang members.
Del Cid was also involved in the murder of 15-year-old Javier Castillo in Freeport five months later, federal officials say.
In both cases, prosecutors say the victims were believed to be rival gang members.
