A fire Sunday morning at a Borough Park building left 27 people with minor injuries, the FDNY says.
It happened on the first floor of a four-story building on 54th Street.
Neighbors on the scene told News 12 that many of those injured were young children. They said they were being treated for smoke inhalation.
Exclusive video obtained by News 12 shows the moment parents were forced onto their fire escapes while holding their babies. It took firefighters over an hour to get the fire under control.
It was not immediately clear how the fire started.
