As temperatures dip below freezing, some Brooklynites were out early, braving the cold.

The FDNY also warns New Yorkers to be extra careful when using a space heater inside their home, as they are a leading cause of house fires this time of year.
They also say that gas stoves or ovens should never be used to heat up a home, as it could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning.
