Central Hudson has launched a new two-year pilot program to help low-income households manage energy costs.

The Enhanced Energy Affordability Program will provide a fixed monthly bill discount for customers who do not qualify for the Home Energy Assistance Program or Central Hudson's existing Energy Affordability Program.

To qualify, customers must have an active electric or gas account with Central Hudson, not be enrolled in the current affordability program, and have a household income at or below 100% of the state or area median income.

Applicants must also provide income documentation for all household members for the past month.
