Jeanette Herron, president of the Bridgeport City Council, urged residents to move their vehicles off emergency snow routes on Saturday.

"Our emergency parking ban has been in effective since 6 p.m. tonight," Herron said. "The Bridgeport Police Department will be ticketing cars along these routes, and vehicles will be towed if they are not moved immediately."

Public school parking lots will be available for parking.

"We have to keep these vital corridors clear so our public facilities crews can pre-treat Bridgeport streets, then plow them once the snow begins falling," Herron said.
