A major labor showdown could soon hit New York City.

More than 10,000 building service workers are set to vote Wednesday on whether to authorize a strike — a move that could disrupt essential services for 1.5 million residents.

Members of 32BJ SEIU, which represents about 34,000 doormen, porters, superintendents and other building staff, say they’re fighting for better wages, stronger pensions and fully covered health care. Union leaders accuse building owners of trying to shift rising costs onto workers.

The vote will take place on Wednesday afternoon on the Upper East Side. Mayor Zohran Mamdani and several city leaders are expected to join the rally.

The current contract expires on April 20.
