New Jersey's spring sizzle week continues, now with a possible record-breaking day on Wednesday.
The record temperature in Newark Wednesday afternoon is 88 degrees. With a high temperature of nearly 90 expected, that record could be broken. The humidity will make it feel more like the lower 90s tomorrow and also on Thursday.
Coastal areas won't see too much of a sea breeze early on tomorrow, so expect temperatures to climb into the lower 80s before cooling down. It will be another pleasant day down the shore.
This pattern persists through the midweek, then a big pattern change occurs over the weekend and into next week.
There is a better chance of seeing some showers and thunderstorms on Friday and temperatures will start to cool. A sharp cold front will bring in widespread rain Sunday and usher in cooler 50-60 degree temperatures for next week.
