The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office says the body of a Weehawken man missing since late last year has been found in the Hackensack River.

Emilio Acosta-Gutierrez, 21, was last seen in mid-December.

News 12 spoke to the man’s father in January about the search. Idelfonso Acosta told News 12 that his son may have been having a mental health crisis at the time.

"Our son has been living with bipolar disorder…he is under proper care, but has, since he left the house, he has not have his medication,” Acosta told News 12 at the time.

The county prosecutor’s office did not provide any details about Acosta-Gutierrez’s death other than the fact that the body pulled from the water was his.
