The FBI is reportedly investigating the recent theft of agricultural drones from a trucking warehouse in Harrison.
Fifteen of the Ceres Air C-31 agricultural drones were reportedly stolen. The drones used in farming to treat crops with pesticides or fertilizers. Each drone weighs about 500 pounds and carries 40 gallons of liquid.
The FBI is reportedly looking into the matter because such a device could potentially be used for a biological or chemical attack.
According to published reports, the drones were taken from CAC Trucking company in Harrison after a truck driver arriving at the site provided phony paperwork and an email confirming he had a right to take the drones.
A representative from CAC at the facility in Harrison did not want to speak with News 12 New Jersey on the matter.
News 12 are awaiting more information from the FBI and Harrison police on the investigation.
