The FDNY says it responded to 715 Hemlock St. in East New York around 6:45 p.m. Friday.
EMS pronounced a person dead at the scene, according to fire officials. Information about the circumstances of the death was not immediately made available.
The FDNY called National Grid to the scene. National Grid says it determined there was no carbon monoxide gas present and no gas leak after a thorough investigation of the address and adjacent property.
The cause of the person's death is still under investigation.
