Woman stabbed to death during domestic dispute in Bushwick 

Investigators have now arrested and charged 38-year-old Jonathan Fernandez for murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

A 41-year-old woman was stabbed to death inside an apartment in Bushwick on Sunday morning.

Police responded to a building near Cooper Street and Ivering Avenue just before 8:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found a 41-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds throughout her body. EMS transported the woman to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.

Investigators say a person was taken into custody as of Sunday afternoon.

Police have now identified the victim as 41-year-old Eryka Caldwell.

Investigators have now arrested and charged 38-year-old Jonathan Fernandez for murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Sources close to the investigation say the brutal stabbing stemmed from a domestic dispute.
