Father's Day weekend forecast in Brooklyn

Temperatures are pleasant but there will be rain early next week. Will it stay dry for Sunday plans?

It's a cloudy start to Friday, but less hot, humid, and windy than yesterday. Aside from a stray shower this morning or Saturday night, it's a dry finish to the week. We are tracking some much needed rain, but the storm will likely hold off until overnight Sunday or early Monday morning.

A high risk for rip currents is expected for Atlantic facing beaches today. There is a moderate risk for rip currents on Saturday A Small Craft Advisory has been posted for Atlantic waters for today and through 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Today: Mostly cloudy start, then some sun

Decreasing clouds are expected today with a wind from the west at 10-20 mph. Highs are near 80-degrees.

Saturday: Nearly Perfect!

Ample sunshine is expected with low humidity. Morning lows in the mid 60s with afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s.

Sunday: Increasing clouds but likely dry

Plenty of sunshine to start for Father's Day with morning lows in the mid 60s and afternoon highs in the mid 80s. More clouds are expected in the evening. It's a great official first day of summer!

Monday: Rain is likely

Overcast skies are expected with periods of rain. Highs in the 70s.

Rest of the week: Seasonable with some showers

Temperatures will be near average with morning lows in the mid to upper 60s and afternoon highs in the low 80s. A few showers could return next Thursday and Friday.
