Residents at the Marlboro Houses are one step closer to a brand-new green space.

The tenant-led project has been a year in the making, with residents working closely with designers to create an outdoor area inside the NYCHA complex.

“Somewhere that we can all get together and share stories, events, plan events," said Natasha Franklin, a resident.

By the end of the summer, organizers say the area will be equipped with an elevated stage area for events, an outdoor fitness area and a sensory wall for neurodivergent residents.

“We have a lot of children here that’s on the spectrum there’s nowhere for them to really play that’s safe," said Franklin.
