Overnight fire in Williamsburg sends one person to hospital, others checked at scene

The FDNY says three firefighters were hurt battling a two-alarm blaze that erupted inside a Chinese restaurant in Midwood on Wednesday.

Fire crews rushed to New Nice China Town, located at 1411 Foster Ave., just before 5:45 p.m.

Citizen app footage shows smoke billowing from the two-story building as crews work their way inside.

The FDNY says hazmat teams were called to the scene to remove lithium-ion batteries.

EMS took the firefighters, who all suffered minor injuries, to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.

The cause of the blaze has not been determined as of Wednesday evening.
