Brooklyn man charged for allegedly threatening ICE agent in New Jersey

The 27-year-old appeared in court Monday and was released on a $100,000 bond.

A Brooklyn man is facing federal charges after allegedly threatening to kill an ICE officer as well as his family.

Nicholas Scelfo was among the protesters who rallied outside of an ICE detention center in Newark, New Jersey this past weekend.

The 27-year-old appeared in court Monday and was released on a $100,000 bond.

He is also not allowed to return to Delaney Hall, which is the site of the protests.

If convicted, he could face a $250,000 fine and up to 10 years in prison.
