It wouldn't be the weekend if we didn't have a chance of rain or storms in it. Though this weekend is a little bit different.
The majority of Saturday is going to be pleasant. In fact, it is going to be downright amazing. Mainly sunny skies. A nice, comfortable, warm breeze will help launch the temperatures through the day from the mid to upper 60s early Saturday morning, into the upper 80s and low 90s by 4 p.m. The humidity will also be held in check. Maybe a smidgeon of mugginess, but overall fantastic.
The weather will turn on us around dinner time. If you have outdoor plans, you should become more weather-aware around 6 p.m. A weather feature will be swinging into the area. This "front" will be the spark to set the atmosphere up with storms. It should be a fast weather maker, so thunderstorms don't linger and cause flooding. The primary concern would be damaging winds in excess of 55 mph. The window of storminess is from 5 p.m. through 9 p.m. The worst conditions are likely to happen from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Everything will quiet down after 10 p.m. and the skies will slowly clear.
The second half of the weekend, while once thought to be cloudier and potentially the wetter of the two days, is now looking quite nice. Not as hot but still above average and the sun will be primary with a few afternoon clouds drifting in from upstate New York.
