Dry and sunny weather is expected through much of the week with increasing temperatures. Monday is the most pleasant day this week, with highs around 80 or less. Temperatures will heat up to nearly 90 in some spots on Wednesday and a heat wave is possible Thursday through Saturday. A heat wave is defined as three consecutive days with high temperatures in the 90s. This would be the first heat wave since July 2025 (officially for Central Park)
The Small Craft Advisory has been cancelled for the Long Island Sound and Atlantic facing waters. Wave heights are around 4 feet for ocean facing beaches and about 1 foot on the Long Island sound. Beaches facing the Atlantic have a moderate risk for rip currents and a low risk for rip currents on Monday.
