A Brooklyn judge has sentenced serial killer, Harvey Marcelin, 88, to life without parole for the murder and dismemberment of a 68-year-old woman in 2022 and scattering her remains across East New York.

This is the third time Marcelin was convicted of murder.

News 12 was in court when the 88-year-old denied killing Susan Leyden and blamed Lisa Lindahl, who testified against Marcelin. Lindahl was also inside the apartment during the aftermath.

Marcelin said he was crazy about Leyden and apologized to her family for not doing enough to protect her. He also said that he pleaded guilty to one of the prior murders to receive a reduced sentence.

The judge says that if Marcelin ever gets out again, he has no doubt that Marcelin will kill again.
