Police say a suspect is in custody and charges are pending after a slashing left a man with a wound in his leg late Sunday afternoon near the Puerto Rican Day parade route in Bushwick.

Investigators say it happened around 5:38 p.m. at the intersection of Knickerbocker Avenue and Grove Street.

The victim was in stable condition as of Sunday evening.

The slashing follows a similar stabbing during the event last year that left two teens injured.
