Motorcyclist airlifted, seriously injured after hitting parked Jeep in Holbrook

Suffolk County police say that Ricki Mendoz was riding his Yamaha 950 southbound on Hollo Drive when he lost control and crashed into a Jeep parked on the northbound shoulder.

A 33-year-old Bronx motorcyclist had to be airlifted to the hospital on Saturday after striking a parked Jeep.

Suffolk County police say that Ricki Mendoz was riding his Yamaha 950 southbound on Hollo Drive when he lost control and crashed into a Jeep parked on the northbound shoulder.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. and after Alvarado had to be airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.

The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.

Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact detectives at 631-854-8652.
