STORM WATCH: Lingering flooding into the overnight possible for Brooklyn

The worst of the storms have moved through. There is still the chance for some additional showers or storms during early parts of the overnight. Any of these could lead to some additional downpours, lightning and pockets of flash flooding. Stay safe and do not drive through any flooded roadways.
Sunday will be a dry day with sunshine and better air. The thunderstorms and rain helped clean up air from some of the Canadian wildfire smoke. While it could still be hazy at times, it will still be an improvement upon what the borough was dealing with. This will be a much better day for outdoor activities, beach and park plans and any travel.
The next weather threat comes late Tuesday and into Wednesday. More showers and thunderstorms are possible then.
