Brooklyn subway riders will face several service changes on weekends through August 24 as the MTA continues a major round of track work across the system.

From Friday night through early Monday morning for the next five weekends, crews are replacing aging track switches in Lower Manhattan, resulting in service disruptions on several lines.

The MTA said 1 train service will be suspended between 14th Street and South Ferry during the weekend work.

In addition, 3 trains will not run between Harlem-148th Street and New Lots Avenue, while 2 trains will temporarily replace 5 train service between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and 34th Street.

The weekend changes are part of the MTA's ongoing efforts to modernize and maintain the subway system's infrastructure.

The service adjustments will continue over the coming weeks as crews complete the work.

Riders are encouraged to check the MTA app and sign up for service alerts before traveling.
