A 48-year-old man was injured in a Prospect Lefferts Gardens shooting Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to a shooting near the intersection of Midwood Street and Nostrand Avenue just before 5:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a 48-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The man was transported by EMS to Kings County Hospital and is expected to be OK.

There are no arrests at this time, and an investigation is ongoing.
