A 6-month-old baby boy was found unresponsive and later died in a Canarsie home Wednesday morning, according to the NYPD.

Police responded to a 911 call at 12:12 a.m. for an unconscious infant inside a home near Flatlands Avenue and E 192nd Street.

When officers arrived, they found a 6-month-old baby boy unresponsive.

The baby was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death is unknown at this time and will be determined by the New York City Medical Examiner.
