Taylor Fresh Foods is recalling several products containing jalapeños peppers due to possible salmonella contamination.

The company recently recalled bagged lettuce linked to a cyclospora outbreak that sickened dozens of people.

The latest recall includes diced jalapeños, rice and bean burritos, and Pico de Gallo salsa sold at Hannaford, Kroger, Stop & Shop, Target, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, and Whole Foods in several states, including New York.

The FDA is advising consumers not to eat, serve, or sell recalled fresh jalapeños from Sinaloa, Mexico, distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors.

Consumers should check for products with a "Best If Used By" date of Aug. 16 or earlier.

Anyone with a recalled product should get rid of it immediately, the FDA says, and get a refund at the place of purchase.

Salmonella symptoms typically develop 12 to 72 hours after consuming contaminated food and can last four to seven days. Common symptoms include diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps.

Young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems are at greater risk of having severe illness.
