Norwalk police renew push for answers 15 years after double homicide
It's been 15 years since Iroquois Alston, 27, and Rickita Smalls, 22, were found shot to death in a car on Avenue B in Norwalk. The case remains unsolved with a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Norwalk police are renewing their push for answers in a cold case double homicide from 15 years ago.
The department posted to social media about the deaths of Iroquois Alston, 27, and Rickita Smalls, 22. The two were found shot to death in a car on Avenue B near Crown Street on Aug. 6, 2011.
Alston's mom told News 12 she never expected the case to still be unsolved all this time later.
"Hell no! Absolutely not, no," April Barron said. "I do have my days when it hits me. Just got to take one day at a time, you understand, one day at a time and pray."
Barron has spent a decade and a half keeping her son's name alive.
"Iroquois was something special. Oh my, God. To know him, is to love him," Barron shared. "Just the thought of him put the biggest smile not only on my face but on my heart. The memory--they might've took him, but they can't take the memories."
In the police post marking 15 years since the investigation began, police said they haven't stopped searching for the person or people responsible.
"If you have any information, no matter how small it may seem, please contact the Norwalk Police Department Detective Bureau. Your assistance could help bring justice to the victims and their families," police said in the post.
Police also reminded the public there is a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Barron hasn't given up faith she'll see that some day.
"When God allow it to happen," Barron told News 12. "It's on his timing. That's where I'm at today."
