A 17-year-old boy was critically wounded during a shooting in Belmont, police say.
He is at least the third teen to fall victim to gun violence in the Bronx this week. Officials say it happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday on Prospect Avenue between Garden Street and Grote Street.
The boy suffered multiple gunshot wounds through his body, according to police.
Paramedics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
Information about what sparked the shooting was not immediately known.
