A new Gravesend school held its ribbon-cutting opening ceremony on Tuesday.
City leaders attended the event at the John Dewey Annex on Avenue X.
The middle school seats more than 550 students and cost more than $77 million to build.
It has science labs, special education rooms, a library and more.
Three other schools will also open across Brooklyn before school starts Thursday.
