Man wanted in Brownsville gunpoint robbery spree

Police are searching for the man they say is responsible for a series of gunpoint robberies in Brownsville.
The three robberies happened across a four-day period in mid-September. The first and youngest victim was a 17-year-old boy who was targeted inside a gas station around 8:40 p.m. on Saturday.
Investigators say the alleged robber held the teen at gunpoint inside 211 Tapscott St. and demanded cash from the register. He got away with $1,000 and a watch, according to the NYPD.
Just under 24 hours later, inside a deli at 1974 Union St., the same man walked up to a 56-year-old man, took out a firearm, fired one round through the window and took off. Police say he did not steal anything from the store.
The final incident happened just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday in front of a deli at 779 Saratoga Ave. Investigators say the alleged robber approached a 58-year-old man, brandished a gun and demanded that he place cash into a bag. Police say the man then took off empty-handed.
According to the NYPD, no one was hurt during the robberies.
Police released an image of the man that was captured during the first incident. The man is pictured wearing a black garment over his head, covering most of his face.
