18 people arrested for allegedly stealing artificial turf in Fair Lawn
Police said 18 people were arrested late Tuesday after they were accused of illegally removing artificial turf from the exterior of a building.

Police arrested 18 people accused of stealing artificial turf from the exterior of a building in Fair Lawn late Tuesday.
Officers responded to a business near Hopper Avenue and River Road just after 10 p.m. Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Eric Eleshewich said all 18 people were arrested.
Police said those arrested range in age from 18 to 43 and were charged with theft of movable property after officers found them allegedly removing artificial turf from the outside of the building.
Eleshewich did not identify the business where the theft occurred.
The names of those arrested have not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
