A man was arrested in Bay Shore, accused of robbing a bank around 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

Suffolk police say Raymond Peruggi entered the TD Bank, located at 479 Montauk Highway and handed a teller a note demanding cash. He then took the cash and fled.

About 20 minutes later, patrol officers observed the 36-year-old running in front of 403 East Main St. in Bay Shore and arrested him.

Peruggi is charged with robbery and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Oct. 17.
