New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced they are bringing 2-K seats to The Bronx and Brooklyn.
The mayor and governor joined families and childcare providers at a trampoline park on Monday to make the announcement.
Around 10,000 seats are expected to be added across every borough by Fall 2027.
The expansion is backed by a $1.2 billion state investment, advancing the city’s vision of universal childcare for children from six weeks to five years old.
