The Center for Disease Control is aiming to combat the spread of Ebola with new requirements for international passengers flying into the United States.

Starting Nov. 4, travelers must sign a document confirming they have not been to the Democratic Republic of the Congo within the past 21 days.

Those who have been in DRC within that timeframe will not be permitted to board flights with U.S. destinations and can expect to remain outside the country for at least 21 days.

Officials say this includes all passengers transiting through DRC on a connecting flight regardless of whether they disembark or stay on the airplane.

The new requirement comes in response to the Ebola outbreak that recently spread to four other countries.

No Ebola cases associated with the outbreak have been reported in the U.S. to date.

Officials say the likelihood of spreading the illness in the U.S. is considered low overall. For more information, click here.
