The NYPD has released the identity of the woman who was stabbed while jogging along Brooklyn bike path Friday evening.
Police say Katie Suarez, 28, was running alone along the bike trail off the Belt Parkway in Bath Beach around 8:15 p.m. near Bay Parkway and Cropsey Avenue when she was stabbed multiple times in the neck.
Sources say she was later found by her father, collapsed on the path. She was rushed to the hospital and remains in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon.
The NYPD is asking anyone who may have seen her on Friday between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. nearby the bike path along the Belt Parkway to come forward.
Police urge anyone with information that could help investigators to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
