A 24-year-old man was shot and killed in Coney Island Wednesday morning, according to the NYPD.
Police responded to a 911 call at 9:23 a.m. about a shooting near West 28th Street and Surf Avenue.
The victim suffered gunshot wounds to the face and chest and was taken by EMS to NYU Langone Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooter is described as a Black male wearing a blue mask who fled eastbound on West 28th Street. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
