The second annual Brooklyn Horror Film Festival is officially underway.
The Videology Bar & Cinema in Williamsburg is one of several venues hosting the festival this weekend. Inside was a packed house for the classic slasher flick "Friday the 13th," the screening of which appropriately fell on Friday the 13th.
The festival also highlights independent, low-budget films as well. It's designed to challenge preconceptions of the genre and question what truly makes a horror film terrifying.
Venues throughout northern Brooklyn will continue hosting the festival through Sunday.
