A crash left three Brooklyn teens dead and four others injured late Tuesday night on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn.
Police responded to a 911 call for a vehicle collision at Exit 1 on the Eastbound Belt Parkway at around 11:30 p.m.
It was later determined that a 2022 Cadillac SUV, driven by 18-year-old Huzaysah Markharesh, who was carrying four other teenage passengers, was attempting to slow down in the center lane after encountering a slow-moving vehicle.
A 2024 Honda SUV, driven by a 46-year-old woman with a 44-year-old female passenger, was driving behind the Cadillac, also unable to slow down, and rear-ended Markharesh's vehicle.
As a result, both vehicles lost control and struck the guardrails on the southern side of the roadway.
When Markharesh's Cadillac struck the rail, it overturned, ejecting him, as well as two other male passengers, 17-year-old Konstantin Greatidi and 16-year-old Abdul Rehman.
EMS responded and rushed Markaresh, Greatidi and Rehman, all from Brooklyn, to NYU Langone-Brooklyn in critical condition, where they were later pronounced dead.
The two other teen passengers, an 18-year-old and 16-year-old, were taken to Maimonides Hospital in stable condition.
The two women in the Honda were taken to NYU Langone-Brooklyn in stable condition.
