Police: 30-year-old Brooklyn man killed in shooting; suspects on the loose

Police say they responded to a home on Avenue D between New York Avenue and East 34th Street around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. The victim was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to his head.

A 30-year-old man has died after being shot overnight in Brooklyn, according to police.
Police say they responded to a home on Avenue D between New York Avenue and East 34th Street around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. The victim was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to his head.
The victim's family tells News 12 he was standing outside a home smoking when another family member from inside heard him say “What the…” and then heard five gunshots. His family also says he has three children - two young twins and a 12-year-old. He moved to Brooklyn from North Carolina a year ago. His cousin says she doesn't understand who would do this.
Investigators say they are searching for two or three men who were last seen driving off in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee.
