The third annual Knickerbocker Puerto Rican Parade was held Sunday.
The parade, organized by Assemblywoman Maritz Davila, started at Grove Street and ended on Jefferson Street.
Attendees celebrated by dancing, singing and waving Puerto Rican flags.
Assemblywoman Davila told News 12 she’s happy the parade was possible after the difficult year caused by the pandemic.
“"We are Puerto Ricans,” said Assemblywoman Davila. “We're very proud, we just want to celebrate. This is our day."
Organizers held a moment of silence honoring those from the community who have died from COVID-19 at the start of the event.
