3rd City Island business confirms it received racist, antisemitic hate mail
Another business on City Island says it was targeted by racist and antisemitic flyers.
Caliente's, a restaurant off Ditmars Street in a residential neighborhood, confirmed that it received hate mail targeting the African American and Jewish communities on Oct. 29.
This announcement comes after Seafood Kingz, a Black-owned business established on City Island less than a year ago, received a shocking letter on Monday about racism and antisemitism.
The Jewish-owned business Archie’s Tap & Table says they received the same hate mail as well.
A resident in the neighborhood told News 12 that people in his community will continue to support the minority-owned businesses any way they can.
Police are investigating to find who is responsible for the messages.
