Police are investigating after a 4-year-old was killed in an accident at an Apple Bank on Monday.
Officials say Emanuel Corniel-Delgado was climbing on a customer service table at the East 161st Street branch when it toppled over on top of him.
According to witnesses, the child was unconscious and bleeding from the side of the head. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Lincoln Hospital.
In a statement, Apple Bank said, "At this time the incident is still under investigation so there are very few details available to report...This is a terrible tragedy for the Delgado family, to whom we extend our sincere condolences, and extremely upsetting to everyone at Apple Bank."
